Sayings such as: \u201cBehind every man, there is a woman;\u201d \u201cThe hand that rocks the cradle rules the world;\u201d There are in the Yoruba Language sayings like \u201cIya ni wura, baba ni jingi,\u201d meaning, \u201cMother is gold, father is mirror\u201d and \u201cOrisa bi iya ko si laye,\u201d meaning, \u201cThere is no oracle like mother on earth.\u201d<br \/>\nThe feminine energy has been said to be one of the most powerful forces on earth. Let me tell you a story that illustrates how very powerful the energy of femininity can be.<br \/>\nA man called Arthur Bremer had planned for years to kill President Richard Nixon. Bremer grew up in a dysfunctional family and had been beaten and yelled at consistently at home. He was relentlessly mocked, teased and hated during his entire life.<br \/>\nHe was a janitor, never married and had never been intimate with a woman. He felt he had absolutely no significance in his life. He felt that by killing the president, he would have fame and his life would have some significance.<br \/>\nOn the day he wanted to kill the president, for the sake of fame, he came to a point-blank range of the president. With all the determination in him, he had reached into his pocket to get his gun when someone in the crowd knocked him on the arm.<br \/>\nAccording to an account: \u201cFull of rage and disgust for whoever or whatever it was that broke his state, and sabotaged his mission and his chance \u2013 the biggest moment of his life for which he had planned for years \u2013 he turned around to see a tiny little lady, incredibly tiny, and amazingly soft; and heard her say in deep concern: \u2018Oh dear! I am SO SORRY! Are You OK?!\u2019 and in that moment she showed him more love and connection, more true feminine energy, than he had ever received in his life.\u201d<br \/>\nIn the book written about Arthur Bremer, titled: \u201cAn Assassin\u2019s Diary,\u201d he said that though he was at point-blank range of the president, he could not make this soft little lady witness something so horrendous. He didn\u2019t want to make her see this.<br \/>\nSo even the hardened assassin was touched and swayed by the magic of femininity and love he experienced from the tiny woman, and the president\u2019s life was saved thereby. What a power! What a demonstration of the feminine\u2019s power of influence!<br \/>\nWhen we talk about the unique powers of the feminine, a number of such powers immediately come to mind such as the powers of INFLUENCE, CHARM, INTUITION, FERTILITY, MOTHER LOVE AND CLOSENESS TO NATURE<br \/>\nOur first task is to try and understand the nature and essence of these powers. To do these, however, we first should consider their scope.<br \/>\nGoethe in FAUST, spoke of \u201cThe eternal feminine leading us upwards.\u201d From this alone, it is clear that there are spiritual, eternal, dimensions to the scope of the powers and influence of the feminine.<br \/>\nBut first, let us consider some amazing and powerfully striking earthly dimensions of the unique powers of the feminine regarding the existence, sustenance and propagation of the human race on earth.<br \/>\nThere are trillions of cells in the human body. In every cell of the body, there is the nucleus that contains a mixture of genes from both father and mother. Outside the nucleus but still within each cell are structures called mitochondria.<br \/>\nThese are the POWER HOUSES in each cell. They are responsible for the production of the energy that runs the whole cell and therefore the whole body.<br \/>\nNow, the striking and amazing thing is that whilst the genes in the nucleus come from both parents, the genes of the mitochondria, the POWER HOUSES of the body come only from the mother!<br \/>\nThese mitochondrial, power house, genes have been passed on this way right from the beginning of human existence, through the feminine line to all generations.<br \/>\nFurther, there are also the sex chromosomes that we also need for life. The female has two X chromosomes(XX) and the male has one X chromosome and one Y chromosome (XY).<br \/>\nIt is the presence of the Y chromosome that makes you male. You can have an only X chromosome and still live as in Turner Syndrome. You will be a female and usually unable to reproduce without assistance. In the course of reproduction, the only X that a male has which it cannot do without and survive can only come from the mother! You cannot survive with an only Y chromosome i.e. without an X chromosome.<br \/>\nHere again just like the genes of the power houses that supply energy to run the body flow along the feminine line from generation to generation, the males only tapping or deriving such genes from the feminine in each generation, so does the life force borne by the X chromosome also flow through the female to the male at each generation.<br \/>\nThus as far as the body is concerned, the pictureemerging is that the female line or channel is the bearer of life energy and life-force on which the male line depends.<br \/>\nIt is said that as above, so below. As it has been demonstrated that the female line is channel for the energy genes and forces, and on which the male line depends, it should not be a surprise that they are also channels for special spiritual powers, too.<br \/>\nAnd when we consider the looser, finer consistency of the feminine body, then we can envisage that woman is thereby equipped to mediate the energies and forces she carries within also to others and to her surroundings in general.<br \/>\nAlso, going by the principle of as above, so below, it should be the case that just as the feminine has a looser, finer physical body, the consistency of her soul and spirit, too, is also finer and lighter.<br \/>\nThe finer, lighter spiritual consistency of the feminine would provide a basis for a readier understanding of the special powers and abilities with which she is naturally endowed.<br \/>\nLet us take the power of INTUITION which is proverbial with women. Indeed many children believe that their mothers have eyes at the back of their heads because of the way the mothers simply know, out of the blue, things that the children have no idea how they could possibly know.<br \/>\nThere is also this pertinent quote which says: \u201cNever underestimate the power of a woman\u2019s intuition. Some women can recognize your game before you even start playing it.\u201d<br \/>\nIntuition is spiritual. The finer vibrations of the feminine spirit make for spiritual perceptions that reach farther and deeper and that are more sensitive, clearer, more all-pervading; unlimited by earthly dimensions of time and space.<br \/>\nLet us consider the power of INFLUENCE of the feminine. We heard the story earlier on of how even a hardened would be assassin melted under the spell of a most delicate femininity he experienced from the tiny, little dainty woman he encountered just as he was about pulling out the gun to shoot President Nixon.<br \/>\nThe finer consistency of the feminine spirit apart from making her more intuitive would also enable her absorb more spiritual power. And this greater power at the disposal of the feminine, combined with the power of intuition to help her channel such powers in the direction she may desire, constitute the secret of the influence that the feminine is able to wield.<br \/>\nHistory and other writings as well as contemporary experience show clear examples of how the feminine have wielded such great influence on men, including the most powerful and the physically strongest of men, even against the will and best interest of these men.<br \/>\nWe are all familiar with the story of Adam and Eve. How it was Eve that the serpent tempted and then she, Eve, was very easily able to influence Adam. Not the other way round. We also know about the story of Herod the King and Salome as well as the story of Samson and Delilah.<br \/>\nTo buttress what I am saying about the essence of the feminine influence here, let us even look at what the dictionary says about the meaning of influence.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=18497&amp;ad_type=81&amp;rl=1800\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the Chambers English dictionary, we have the following definitions of influence: A spiritual influx; the power of producing an effect, especially unobtrusively. Reading this definition, it struck me that the spiritual nature of the essence of influence has always been sensed.<br \/>\nThe negative uses of the power of influence of women in the cited examples notwithstanding, history and everyday experience all over the world also show that women have it within them to be truly like guardian angels. Guardian angels to their children, husbands, families, tribes and others whose paths cross theirs.<br \/>\nThere is a documentation on the roles and influence of the mothers of some of the greatest achievers in contemporary history had on them as well as examples of mothers in the Bible, in the book: MOTHERS OF INFLUENCE by Bordon Books, which those who would like to read more about how women, in practical terms, bring such wonderful influence to bear on their children in a way that is peculiarly womanly.<br \/>\nReading part of this book, I found it amazing how, irrespective of the level of education of some of these mothers, they had the uncanny ability to sense the nature and potential in their children in question, and sometimes where these children were headed in life, how they were to get there and the kind of support to give them along the way.<br \/>\nThere is also the power of CHARM which goes along with the power of influence and intuition, and stems from the overall state of the feminine, outwardly and inwardly. There is the charm of feminine physical beauty and naturally also the charm of inner beauty, inner resources and connections. Such inner charm as emanates from the being and shines forth through the eyes that are the gateway to the soul.<br \/>\nLet us talk about the POWER OF FERTILITY. There are the physical as well as the spiritual aspects of the power of fertility in femininity.<br \/>\nThe physical aspects have to do with the health of body, womb and entire reproductive organs including the right hormone balance.<br \/>\nWhen it comes to the spiritual aspects of the power of fertility, then we must think of fertility with the soul in mind. The majority of human beings believe that the human being is made up of body and soul. For the coming into being on earth i.e. for every live birth, there is procreation, development of the baby\u2019s body in the womb, incarnation of the soul, maturation of the body to term and ultimately birth.<br \/>\nAlthough there are those who believe that the soul incarnates with the first breath at birth, mothers who have experienced a live birth would have noticed that the first kicks of the baby in their wombs took place about the middle of pregnancy, which is when the soul that had up till then been attaching itself to its future earthly body actually incarnates, causing those first kicks so familiar to mothers around that time.<br \/>\nWhen we talk about child bearing therefore, it is interesting that we can think about this in terms of both the bearing of the physical body in the womb throughout its development right through the process of birth, as well as the bearing of the soul from the point that it also incarnates into the body in the womb right from mid-way in pregnancy right through birth.<br \/>\nPart of the power of fertility from the spiritual perspective is that for the incarnation of the soul into the body developing in the womb and the maintenance of the soul in that body, the mother has to provide an inner bridge with the femininity of soul that is peculiarly hers.<br \/>\nThe male spirit cannot provide such a bridge and cannot enable the incarnation of a soul, even if the beginnings of the development of a physical body were to take place in his body through any means or device.<br \/>\nOnly the feminine soul is equipped by its nature and make-up to provide such a bridge as an indispensable part of her power of fertility.<br \/>\nThis feminine power of fertility and effectiveness of the bridge for the soul, provided by the feminine is strengthened by femininity in being and attitude and also femininity in activity.<br \/>\nOther states of mind and attitudes that have been known to affect the power of fertility include apathy, fear, hostility, hopelessness, depression, lack of openness and receptivity in attitude.<br \/>\nThen there is the power of mother-love something that is also well known in women.<br \/>\nIt is instinctual. It is known that the animal would fearlessly face any foe and be ready to fight to death in defense of her young, without any consideration for her own self. Such mother-love is also in human mothers and manifests in amazing ways.<br \/>\nA woman once told me she was told there was a snake in the room where her baby was in a cot. She said she got up calmly and fearlessly, went into the room and brought out her baby. That it was after she got out of the room that she became afraid!<br \/>\nMother is provided by nature as something instinctual and necessary for the protection, keeping and development of the child at that stage before it comes to its own as an independent human entity. Once this state has been reached, however, mother love is no longer sufficient. The mature entity requires more than that. It requires something spiritual to meet the now present spiritual needs and requirements.<br \/>\nThis is why it is said that only that woman is a true mother who is able to become a friend to her children at the proper age.<br \/>\nUnique, indeed, are the powers of the feminine! Endowed to be the primary receivers and dispensers of forces and powers of life both physically and spiritually!<br \/>\nIt is high time for the rediscovery of this office of the feminine as priestess of the powers of the UNIVERSE, and according to Goethe, that the eternal feminine lead us upwards.
