Delta State even, is not spared the debilitating intrigues.<\/p>\n<p>Here enters Chief Great Ogboru in Delta. From observation, a man called upon to come eat with others has made away with the whole plate.<\/p>\n<p>However, though same Chief Ogboru may have cheekily chosen to revel in the smartness of his actions to hijack Delta APC, yet it does now appear that he looks unlikely to stop the implications of political actions in the 3 Senatorial Districts at same time.<\/p>\n<p>I wish to quickly ex- ray some of these implications.<\/p>\n<p>In Delta North, Ogboru&#8217; s chances to say the least, are akin to the impossibility of a camel having to successfully pass through the eye of the needle. A man who can blatantly disregard the call for equity, justice and brotherhood as enshrined in the Zoning Formula cannot expect the people so disregarded to smile to the polling units with their PVC in order to queue behind him.<\/p>\n<p>From all indications too, it looks very unlikely that the Anioma sons like Prof. Utomi and Rt. Hon Ochei who contested the Primaries with him will be supportive of his candidature. Why do I even think so?<\/p>\n<p><strong>First, most persons in the APC of today are only disgruntled migrants from the PDP. They were never founding members who joined to build the Party on the grounds of any ideological convictions and commitment; the APC was a last minute consideration for the actualization of their various personal political ambitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hence, all these APC gladiators( the Anioma sons inclusive) do mainly lack the value for Party Supremacy. Yes, the party is only a means to an end and nothing more. So, choosing to abandon the political ship at mid- sea due to the turbulence of selfishness and dictatorial ambitions, is never a big deal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Delta South, Ogboru cannot also expect much fortunes. Even before now, he hasn&#8217;t been so popular and much unlikely too, the entrance of Ex- Governor Uduaghan does not promise to aid much.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Chief Uduaghan is not in APC primarily for the interest of Chief Ogboru, a man to whom he&#8217;s been one of the most unflinching obstacles to his gubernatorial ambition. Uduaghan is only interested in re-enacting and reinventing his depleted political career and image via his Senatorial ambition, therefore, any contributions to Ogboru&#8217; s chances can only be incidental and an afterthought.<\/p>\n<p>May I now say that if there&#8217;s any place where Chief Ogboru&#8217; s impudence and betrayal will do him the most harm, it is in his own Senatorial District of Delta Central.<\/p>\n<p>Whether Chief Ogboru and his dwindling number of handlers, admirers and supporters admit it or not, the gubernatorial ambition of the&#8217; People&#8217; s General&#8217; has always been built on the altar of emotions and the victim syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it&#8217;s always been portrayed as if Chief Ogboru is a victim of the Establishment- always denied a certain and supposed VICTORY won by him.<\/p>\n<p>Well, now that Chief Ogboru, the victim hitherto has unbelievably unraveled into an oppressor and dribbler of his benefactors,what his admirers and supporters would say is of definite interest to Deltans.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the victim-card on which Chief Ogboru has always built his fortunes is looking certain to collapse now. Yes, not after his callous betrayal of his own brother, Chief Emerhor.<\/p>\n<p><code><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=17117&amp;ad_type=64&amp;rl=180\" width=\"300\" height=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/code><\/p>\n<p>Chief Emerhor may not as it were, be a perfect political gentleman but Chief Ogboru cannot also suddenly wish it away that the former was not the one who formed and built Delta APC from the scratch;a Party which same Chief Ogboru has now hijacked in connivance with their bullish Federal arm.<\/p>\n<p>That Chief Ogboru can deal such a lethal political blow of betrayal on Chief Emerhor after the latter had welcomed him into the APC is sure to resonate negatively against him in the eyes of the Delta Central electorate.<\/p>\n<p>Again, despite the known fact that Chief Ogboru has always pandered to populism and emotional blackmail cum victim-syndrome, if it must be admitted, does the High Chief have any enviable achievements as a private citizens to make him the exclusive toast or cynosure of any electorate?<\/p>\n<p>In all, the greatest gainers from the happenings in Delta APC are the Delta PDP and Governor Okowa.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the whole imbroglio in the Delta APC has brought to the fore, the unassailable fact that Gov Okowa has no worthy replacement in the 2019 Elections.<\/p>\n<p>These Delta APC occurrences have further affirmed that the Delta Electorate now have the free hand to re-elect their amiable Governor who definitely would require another turn and term to complete and decorate all that he has begun and accomplished through his laudable SMART Agenda.<\/p>\n<p><code><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- www.newsroom247.com.ng --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/code><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Only a few will bother to envy the APC especially going by the happenstances in the last few months.
