discrepancies in Federation Account figures presented by the federal government.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"ckcnm-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ckcnm-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ckcnm-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"b622o-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"b622o-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"b622o-0-0\">The Chairman, Forum of Finance Commissioners in Nigeria, Mahmoud Yunusa, said the forum came to the decision after consultation with their state governors.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"3h9g-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"3h9g-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"3h9g-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"371lc-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"371lc-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"371lc-0-0\">According to him, the governors have given the commissioners directive to postpone the meeting pending the reconciliation of all accounts.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"813f6-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"813f6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"813f6-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"fguap-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"fguap-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fguap-0-0\">\u201cThe meeting has been postponed until we reconcile the figures in the accounts.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"5nhv1-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"5nhv1-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"cdbq9-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"cdbq9-0-0\">\u201cI sincerely apologise for keeping everyone, but this is the position of our principals through the Chairman, Governor\u2019s data-offset-key=\"7443l-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"7443l-0-0\">Mr. Yunusa said that the finance commissioners as well as the state accountants-general would meet next week to decide when to reconvene the meeting.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"bpck6-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"bpck6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"bpck6-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"ck2br-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ck2br-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ck2br-0-0\">The News Agency of Nigeria later approached the chairman, who is also the Adamawa State Commissioner for condition of anonymity, told NAN that the discrepancies came from the figures presented by the Nigerian National Petroleum data-offset-key=\"2ir88-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"2ir88-0-0\">The latest development is coming four months after the NNPC completed the refund of N450 billion to the federation account, to be shared to federal, states and local councils.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"9c18m-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"9c18m-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"9c18m-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"11tdf-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"11tdf-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"11tdf-0-0\">The NNPC had for 67 consecutive months, paid an additional N6.33 billion into the federation account to be shared to federal, states and local governments.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"ef5p8-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ef5p8-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ef5p8-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"arqpe\" data-offset-key=\"d8en8-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"d8en8-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"d8en8-0-0\">The payment, which started in September 2011, was due to an audit, which showed that the NNPC had been under remitting revenue into the Federation Account.
