{"id":16194,"date":"2017-10-03T19:55:11","date_gmt":"2017-10-03T19:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=16194"},"modified":"2017-10-03T20:04:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-03T20:04:54","slug":"things-fall-apart-in-nnpc-kachikwu-writes-buhari-accuses-baru-of-illegalities-insubordination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=16194","title":{"rendered":"THINGS FALL APART IN NNPC: KACHIKWU WRITES BUHARI ACCUSES BARU OF ILLEGALITIES, INSUBORDINATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><code><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- www.deltanewsroom.com --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/code><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has written President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged acts of illegalities and insubordination by the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kachikwu urged Buhari to be proactive enough in order to salvage the sensitive petroleum sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The letter reads in part: \u201cParastatals in the ministry and all CEOs of these parastatals must be aligned with the policy drive of the ministry to allow the sector register the growth that has eluded it for many years<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To do otherwise or to exempt any of the parastatals would be to emplace a stunted growth for the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kachikwu said he wrote the August 30 letter to Mr. Buhari after concerted efforts to have a one-on-one appointment with the president at the State House fell through.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The letter, which emerged on the Internet Tuesday, was widely circulated on Twitter.
