Fayose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that all his children are products of Nigerian Universities, urging public office holders to endeavour to send their children to schools in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Fayose, who was at the Covenant University, Ota in Ogun State to witness the graduation ceremony of one of his sons, Ayorogbayimika Fayose, told journalists that there was no reason children of public office holders to study in universities outside Nigeria, except in cases where courses interested in were not offered in Nigerian universities.<\/p>\n<p><code><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- www.deltanewsroom.com --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/code><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>According to the governor\u2019s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; \u201cWe talk and do. Whatever we say is what we practice. Apart from the fact that none of my children attended schools abroad, I have never travelled out of the country for Medicare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said; \u201dEven though views of people like us might not be popular among the powers that be because we say the truth and act the truth, we won\u2019t stop telling them what they do not like to hear and one of such is that the only way to improve the standard of education in the country is for children of holders of public office to experience what children of ordinary Nigerians are experiencing in schools in the country.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=13782&amp;ad_type=59&amp;rl=180\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring my first tenure as governor, I took my son from a private school and enrolled him in SUBEB Model Primary School in Ado Ekiti.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\">\u00a0\u201cToday again, I am here to witness the graduation of my son and I make bold to say here that none of my children attended tertiary institution outside Nigeria.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThat should be the spirit not a situation where someone is the minister of education in Nigeria and his children are schooling abroad. And by enforcing this too, we will be saving Nigeria a lot of foreign exchange being wasted on medical and academic tourism,\u201d the governor said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fayose.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15215\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fayose.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"235\" height=\"151\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While condemning what he described as the hypocrisy of some Nigerian leaders, especially those in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Fayose said; \u201cEven children of President Muhammadu Buhari that they told us lived a modest life attended universities abroad. Shouldn\u2019t President Buhari have lived by example by enrolling his children in universities in Nigeria?\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">\u00a0While reiterating his commitment to the uplift of education in Ekiti State, Governor Fayose said; \u201cWe are after quality education and we want to maintain our position as leaders in the education sector.
