However, the custom is still widely practiced.<\/p>\n<p>Husband Dalit Singh, his brother Kamaljeet and friend known as Gaurav are expected to be charged for a variety of crimes including trespassing and \u201cvoluntarily causing hurt\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The victim&#8217;s father said: \u201cWe had complained about the issue last year itself but nothing was being done regarding that.<\/p>\n<div id=\"FIOnDemandWrapper_fiInstance_103010_0_6360997\" class=\"FIOnDemandWrapper\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThey have been married for the past two years now and have a girl child.
