I\u2019ve heard one of the economists say, one, there is no clear-cut economic blueprint by the government.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cSecondly, people will be so surprised to know that during Jonathan\u2019s regime, a lot of money was brought out from the government\u2019s coffers and distributed widely across the country and this improved the <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">circulation<\/span> of currency among the populace. Buhari should learn from that.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Speaking further, Gumi said, \u201cWhat Nigeria needs now is not just to tighten the mouth but to spend more judiciously on even the private sector. The economy is now in recession, airlines are collapsing, banks are collapsing and businesses are suffering. Give the collapsing airlines a lot of soft loans, and support for banks.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;What Nigeria truly needs now is first aid. Let <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">food<\/span> be cheap and available, let fuel be cheap and available, let education be a priority\u201d he said.
