As I have pointed out several times, lack of will by the political leadership to prosecute the war against corruption takes us to nowhere. The political leadership should be determined and it should be seen to be serious about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>According to Ribadu, all government expenditures have to be budgeted and extra-budgetary spending criminalised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>\u201cSecurity votes should be completely phased out. Honesty has to be lifted to the position of a prized and rewarding national value. Criminals should not be celebrated as heroes on account of their wealth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>This is coming on the heels of the lunch of \u201cChange Begins with Me\u2019\u2019 programme by President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, which has seen Many Nigerians calling on the President to show example of the change he preaches.
