The answers to this vary significantly from one religion to the other. Even in a particular religion the answer vary from one denomination to another. These answers affect people&#8217;s conduct in funeral.<\/p>\n<p>To really know how to conduct oneself in funerals, one needs to understand and be convinced of the nature of earthman, who he really is and why he is on earth.<\/p>\n<p><code><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=10604&amp;ad_type=59&amp;rl=180\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/code><\/p>\n<p>The earthman is not only flesh and blood but also soul and spirit. His core or essence i.e. his real self is spirit. The earthly body and the soul body are merely the cloaks the spirit uses for its experiencing on earth and in the beyond respectively. The spirit animates these cloaks, the cloaks are not alive without the presence of the spirit.<\/p>\n<p>The earthly body, bearing within the soul body, is used by the spirit for experiencing on earth whereas the soul body is used by it for experiencing in areas beyond perception with man&#8217;s earthly senses even when aided with magnifying instruments.<\/p>\n<p>The Spirit&#8217;s home is Paradise also called Spiritual realm. The Spirit left Paradise as unconscious germ to earth in order to acquire through experiencing self-consciousness that will enable it be part of the joyful serving and bliss of Paradise when it returns back. As it came down to earth it covers itself with the substances of the realms it passed through, these substances are called soul, with the soul it took up the earthly body as it incarnated on earth.<\/p>\n<p>The earthly body, its coarsest cloak, dies either through old age or improper care or accident. So it dies from what the intellect, its highest gift, generates. The soul body, its finer body, die through disobedient to the Will of God. It dies from what the spirit&#8217;s intuition perceives and draws to itself through its freewill. The Spirit has gifts of intuition, power of attraction and freewill.<\/p>\n<p>What the Spirit perceives is expressed outwardly through the intellect via thought to words or action. These remain the seeds the spirit sow for itself which it must reap or harvest when they mature. Since the Spirit animates the body, it feels every joy or pain arising in the body from out of the seeds.<\/p>\n<p>If the seeds are wrong or bad or dark, the soul reaps suffering. If they are right or good or light, it reaps joy. Dark seeds make the bodies dark, this darkness is expressed more in the soul. The good seeds make the bodies light. The weight draws the bodies to planes of experiencing after death. The darker the seed, the heavier the body and the more the soul sinks to planes of darkness where it suffers or harvest its dark seeds. The lighter the seeds, the more light the soul becomes and the more it is uplifted &amp; rises to planes of light where it enjoys or reap the good seeds. On becoming pure i.e. when it is without any atom of sin, the soul fizzles and the Spirit enters Paradise.<\/p>\n<p>The soul at any plane dies or fizzles or is shaded when it frees itself from all the guilts that kept it in the plane, and then with emerging lighter soul it rises upward to another more luminous plane and in continuing freeing of itself, it continues to rise until it enters Paradise as self-conscious pure Spirit in a rapture.<\/p>\n<p>God&#8217;s love abound at any plane of experiencing. His love, justice and mercy permeate all spheres of creation. Therefore His help can come to a soul desiring it at any plane of experiencing if and only if the soul could recognise this, truly repent and pleads for mercy. What we believe while on earth hampers our experiencing and hinders our recognitions and progress in the beyond (Jesus said &#8221;As you believe so be it unto you&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- www.deltanewsroom.com --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>If we accept that God is love and ever merciful, and that He shows this in every plane of His creation, then our attitude at funerals must change. Our thoughts and words in funeral will then centre on wishing the one who just discarded the flesh (the just departed) joyful experiencing i.e. joyfully experiencing everything coming to it and recognising them as the ripened seeds it sowed. Only this will enable it repent in the experiencing and urge it to ask for mercy and help for ascent.<\/p>\n<p>If we really accept this, then we should from now on avoid those things that are capable of distracting a soul from its part of experiencing and preventing its ascent; things like crying, uttering hindering and binding words, in-built social activities and obligations, praises and similar\/other things that might draw the soul&#8217;s attention to the earth.
