To carry out this fraud, Kpokpogri told the EFCC officials that the former Secretary to the State Governor, Ovuzorie Macaulay connived with the former Commissioner of Economic Planning, Kenneth Okpara alongside Obuh to convince former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on the need to approve the money.<\/p>\n<p>Obuh while demanding for the release of the money stated that the boats will be stationed along Benin River, Warri River, Escravos River, Forcados River etc. Others indicted in the petition include the former Permanent Secretary, Benson Oburoh, who was also arrested alongside Obuh, J.O Peters Emaviwe, M.O Oghene who was the Director of Finance and Admin as well as the State Accountant General, Mr Cyril Agbele.<\/p>\n<p>The group also listed the former Governor as among those to be probed and jailed. The fraudulent transaction was proposed by the Directorate of Government House and Protocol with requisition no 10024970 and file no GHA515\/T14\/16. Invoice verification no is 5105668625. Kpokopgri also stated that \u201cthe fraud infested boat rental payment was said to be fulfilled on 1\/9\/2014 for a rental cost that has since been incurred since 26\/1\/2013.<\/p>\n<p>However the advocateng.com alleged that<a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Emmanuel-Uduaghan.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11010\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11010\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Emmanuel-Uduaghan-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"Emmanuel Uduaghan\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Emmanuel-Uduaghan-300x187.jpg 300w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Emmanuel-Uduaghan-128x80.jpg 128w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Emmanuel-Uduaghan.jpg 582w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> the EFCC officials who spent two days in Asaba were stationed at the office of the secretary to state government (SSG), Mr. Ovie Agas, where they grilled former Permanent Secretaries who served under the Uduaghan\u2019s led administration and staffers of the ministry of science and technology among others.<\/p>\n<p>When our correspondent visited to the SSG\u2019s office on Wednesday and Thursday, the immediate past permanent secretary, government house, Asaba and former 2015 PDP governorship aspirant, Mr. Tony Obuh, some former permanent secretaries and officials of the immediate past government, staffers of the ministry science and technology and others besieged the SSG\u2019s office waiting to be interrogated.<\/p>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\" async=\"\"><\/script><br \/>\n <!-- www.deltanewsroom.com --><br \/>\n <ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\/\/ <![CDATA[\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ADVOCATE<\/em><\/strong> was reliably informed that after the interrogation, Mr. Tony Obuh and two other persons were allegedly arrested by the EFCC operatives and whisked away to Abuja for further questioning.<\/p>\n<p>Impeccable source at the office of the SSG and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Office who pleaded for anonymity confided in our correspondent that permanent secretaries in all the ministries were ordered to submit all relevant government documents to the EFCC operatives at the SSG\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe SSG\u2019S office was converted to temporary office of EFCC for the two days. Though all the documents were first taken to our office, the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice by the all the Permanent Secretaries where some vital documents that could erroneously implicate the governor were removed and the remaining sent to the centre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe teams were actually brought in by the governor since Tuesday and were lodged in a hotel. Currently, the targets are those who were used against the governor during the 2015 elections especially those who contested with him during the PDP governorship primaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the next few weeks, another set of EFCC operatives will be visiting the state again to carry out more investigations on persons who opposed the Okowa , during the party primary elections. In our ministry here, the governor has already directed our commissioner and we are collating documents and other papers to be forwarded to anti-corruption agencies to arrest and prosecute some officials of the immediate past administration. Government officials have been warned not to speak to any Journalist on the issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that, governor Okowa who is particularly not happy with his predecessor for sponsoring the likes of\u00a0 Mr. Tony Obuh, and others against him during the PDP primaries has vowed to use anti-corruption agents to hurt those who stood against him.<\/p>\n<p>One of the officials of the commission who refused to mention his name confided in our reporter that they are in the state on the invitation of the state governor to investigate some persons especially officials of the past administration as well as lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the past two days we have been in town scrutinizing relevant government documents both for contracts award and others in the conference room of the office of the secretary to the state government. Some officials of the former administration were invited and documents were tendered which we scrutinized. We shall be back again but for the now we are going with the former permanent secretary, government house, Asaba, Mr. Obuh and two other persons to our office in Abuja.\u201d the EFCC official stated.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the former speaker and 2015 PDP governorship aspirant, Hon.
