scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/code><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Shell Petroleum Development Company, a Nigerian unit of Shell has declared force majeure on gas supplies to the giant Nigeria LNG export facility located on Bonny Island.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cThe Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) declared force majeure on gas supply to NLNG on 8 August 2016, following a leak on the Eastern Gas Gathering System (EGGS-1) pipeline through which it supplies the bulk of its gas to NLNG,\u201d\u00a0an SPDC spokesman said in an emailed statement on Wednesday<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pipeline has been shut down for a joint investigation visit into the cause of the leak and repairs,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>SPDC continues to supply gas to NLNG through other pipelines.<\/p>\n<p>The Bonny Island facility currently has six trains in operation with a total capacity of some 22 mtpa of LNG.<\/p>\n<p>NLNG is a joint venture compromised of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC
