{"id":10127,"date":"2016-07-16T21:27:59","date_gmt":"2016-07-16T21:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=10127"},"modified":"2016-07-16T21:27:59","modified_gmt":"2016-07-16T21:27:59","slug":"police-appoints-new-18-aigs-37-cpsfull-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=10127","title":{"rendered":"Police Appoints New 18 AIGs, 37 CPs(Full list)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><code><script src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\" async=\"\"><\/script><br \/>\n <!-- www.deltanewsroom.com --><br \/>\n <ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2163942495525027\" data-ad-slot=\"1411897411\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\/\/ <![CDATA[\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/code><\/p>\n<p><code><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=9376&amp;ad_type=59&amp;rl=180\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/code><\/p>\n<p>The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 18 Commissioners of Police to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police.<\/p>\n<p>It also approved their postings with four other AIGs, 12 are to man the 12 Police Zonal Commands, while the remaining 10 will head Police special formations such as Operations, Training, Police Academy, Info-Tech, Investment, among others.<\/p>\n<p>This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission in Abuja on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State, Ibrahim Adamu, is now AIG, Zone 1, Abdulmajid Ali, CP, Ogun State, AIG, Zone 2 and Usman Tilli, AIG in charge of Border is now AIG zone 3.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Police-IG.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10005\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10005\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Police-IG-300x191.jpg\" alt=\"Police IG\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Police-IG-300x191.jpg 300w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Police-IG-128x80.jpg 128w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Police-IG.jpg 483w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>While AIG Dorathy Gimba retained her Command of the Investment Formation, AIG Mohammed K. Mohammed, SPU and Mohammed Katsina moved from Maritime to DS, NIPSS, AIG Katsina would be replaced at the Maritime Desk by Paul Okafor, CP Benue State.<\/p>\n<p>It said the commission also approved the appointment of 37 Commissioners of Police including nine Deputy Commissioners of Police whose promotions were approved by the Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said 16 of the commissioners retained their Commands. They include, CP Peace Abdallah, Ebonyi; Emmanuel Ojukwu, Enugu; Frederick Lakanu, Imo; Adeleye Oyebade, Oyo; Basen Gwana, Abia; Yunana Babas, Taraba Others are, Austine Iwar, Gombe; Murtala Mani, Akwa Ibom, Fatai Owoseni, Lagos and CP Henry Fadairo was also moved from Research and Planning to Jigawa State.<\/p>\n<p>It said the Chairman of the commission Mr Mike Okiro, said the promotions and postings were in line with the commission\u2019s resolve to reposition the Nigeria Police Force He said the commission would hold any of them personally responsible for any failure in the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n<p>The chairman said they should rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and abide by the rules and regulations guiding police work. He noted that this leadership positions should be held with the fear of God and fairness to all parties.
